Stay Committed. Stay Resilient. Sacrifice.
Stay Committed. The first of the three disciplines in our mission. Very little can be done without commitment; whether it is commitment to our sport, life, relationships, work, faith, or anything we do. Commitment is the bridge between where you are and where you want to be. Commitment brings us from failure to success. Without commitment, we may find ourselves stagnant, unable to experience growth, success, or the fulfillment of our greatest potential. When we look at the life of one of the greatest legends in sport, Michael Jordan, we see great commitment. He remained committed to improving and being the best. His commitment made him one of the greatest basketball players and most well-known athletes ever. In my own life, I have seen commitment bring me much farther than I thought it could. Just this past track season, I had to stay committed to working hard and doing my best every practice in order to qualify for NCCAA Nationals. I saw, through myself and my teammates, how being committed helps you to reach your goals and allows you to have amazing experiences. Commitment doesn’t just happen, though. There must be passion, purpose, and belief in what you are doing. Without those three things, it is almost impossible. So, stay committed, stay resilient, and sacrifice. And most importantly, BÉ ŸÕÚ.
2 Chronicles 15:7 “But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”
